At Journey to Purity®, our vision is to encourage Christian women globally to embrace purity and live purposefully.
Our founder's purity journey began 12 years ago when she realized she had reached a breaking point.
Erica N. Williams Benjamin's journey began with a bold declaration of her desire to abstain from sex until marriage, communicated to her partner who admitted he couldn't stop abruptly. Determined to break free from a cycle of half-hearted commitment to God, Erica chose to stand firm. "You may not be able to stop cold turkey," she said. "But I can, and I will." With that, she ended the relationship and promised God that she would not have sex again until she was in a marriage ordained by Him.
Since that pivotal moment, Erica has been on a mission to transform perceptions of purity. What began in 2014 as a modest monthly conference call has blossomed into a multifaceted ministry, profoundly impacting women across the world. Under God's guidance, Journey to Purity® evolved from a support group of nine women into an international community, empowering hundreds of women to overcome temptation and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Fueled by a desire to share the redemptive, restorative, and healing power of Jesus, Journey to Purity® has grown beyond anything Erica could have imagined. Over the years, we have witnessed numerous re-dedications, and our rapidly growing online women’s community now reaches over 390 members. With multiple books published and features in the YouVersion Bible App, The Washington Post, The Lily, and more, Journey to Purity® continues to inspire and support women worldwide.
