Erica N. Williams Benjamin’s journey started with a bold declaration of her desire to abstain from sex until marriage, communicated to her partner who admitted he couldn't stop abruptly. Determined to break free from a cycle of half-hearted commitment to God, Erica chose to stand firm. "You may not be able to stop cold turkey," she said. "But I can, and I will." With that, she ended the relationship and made a promise to God that she wouldn't have sex again until she was in a marriage ordained by Him.

That moment changed everything. What started as a personal stand in 2011 grew into something much bigger—a ministry touching lives around the world. Journey to Purity® began as a monthly conference call with just nine women in 2014, but with God’s direction, it’s blossomed into an international community of women who are conquering temptation and growing closer to Christ every day.

Erica’s passion for sharing the healing, restorative, and redemptive power of Jesus has taken Journey to Purity® further than she ever dreamed. Today, the community has over 200 members, and the stories of re-dedications and life changes just keep coming. With multiple books, features in The Washington Post, The Lily, YouVersion Bible App, and more, Journey to Purity® continues to inspire women worldwide.
